Glossy Box-March 2017

SnapseedI absolutely love getting a monthly little treat. After a few dull weeks I tend to forget that I have subscribed to Glossy box and so when I get home from work and see a parcel lying on the table I get a little flutter of excitement inside me! If your not familiar with Glossy Box it’s a monthly subscribption based beauty box that comes with 5 different items each month.

Sleek Eye &Cheek Palette- A Midsummers Dream- RRP £10

This months box wasn’t so much of a surprise though as Glossy Box gave their subscribers a choice of which Sleek palette they wanted this month. I’m glad they gave me this option because out of the four palettes to choose from there was only one that I thought would suit me, however all the palettes were equally lovely. This palette has four eye shadows and two blushers and the colours are absolutely stunning. I haven’t used this on my eyes just yet but I have finger swatched all the colours and they seem really pigmented, especially the bronze shade and I can’t wait to try out some eye looks with these colours.

Schwarzkopf Got 2 B Styling Primer – RRP £4.18

I also received this hair product from the Schwarzkopf Got 2 B range, I have tried out some of the products from this range before ( I absolutely love the hairsprays) but I am yet to try a styling primer. This is a new kind of product for me as I don’t really venture out into hair styling that much with my job my hair has to be tied up and then on a weekend I usually just have it down straight so I am hoping to get some use out of this and try something new with my hair – maybe try out some curls! This product has a lovely coconut scent to it and it works by applying a few pumps into damp hair for “perfectly controlled and shiny locks” I will give this a go this weekend and I will do another review!

This Works – In Transit Camera Close Up – RRP £30

Next in the box was this 3-in-1 product. This claims to be mask, moisturiser and a primer all in one- perfect for lazy people like me. I tried this out this morning as a primer for my makeup, so far so good. I tend to suffer with oily skin and my makeup seems to be lasting well. This cream doesn’t really have much of a scent to it and for the price tag I would expect it to feel a bit more luxurious. I don’t think I would be willing to spend £30 on this even if it does say that Victoria Beckham uses it. I’m sorry no primer is worth that much and there are equally as good drugstore primers out there.

Hydra-Activ Day Cream – RRP £28

The one thing about Glossy Box is that I always seem to get a lot of skincare. As much as I do like skincare I feel like every month I get a sample sized moisturiser, it’s just a bit excessive. I haven’t got around to trying this cream out yet but I have high hopes as it claims to include Vitamins A, C and E just what my skin needs at the moment a little pick me up. I do sometimes get quite anxious trying out new skincare as I do suffer with a lot of breakouts and my skin is particularly bad at the moment. My faviourite moisturiser is the Nip + Fab Kale fix moisturiser, maybe this one can beat it!

oOlution Eye Love – RRP £30

Glossy Box included some samples of some really high end products this month. £30 for an eye cream I’m not sure I would be able to justify that amount however I am glad that I do get to sample some of these products it’s a luxury for me! This eye cream claims to help dark circles and puffiness which I sadly suffer with so I was really excited when I seen this in the box. I have been using it since I got it and I can say that I do actually think it has helped my dark circles slightly. I do feel quite nice and refreshed applying this to the skin in the morning as the texture is very nice and light. If I continue to see improvements then maybe it will be worth the price tag after all?

What did everyone else get in their Glossy Boxes? Feel free to share yours below as I always love to see what other people receive
